Awards…let’s take a look at what ACM have been shortlisted for!

We are delighted to announce that we have been shortlisted for no less than 5 different awards for our work in supporting customers and consumers to improve material circularity within the circular economy!

MRW- Material Recycling World’s National Recycling Awards:

We are shortlisted in the ‘Partnership Excellence – Commercial’ category with our customer, BHID Group.

Since starting this partnership, we have focused on: Minimising, Optimising, Rationalising, and Engaging services. We call it “doing MORE”. We cut vehicle movements by about 700 visits per year, cut their carbon footprint for waste disposal by 81%, and went from a waste solution to a materials management and trading solution. This is the perfect example of why thinking circular can make a big difference to any customer in the manufacturing sector.

We have also been shortlisted in the ‘Recycling Excellence’ category with our customer, Sysco Group.

As one of the UK’s largest food wholesalers & distributors they Recycle or Reuse 83% of all the waste they generate (14,000+ tonnes p.a.). Working from top down on the waste hierarchy, they’ve reduced waste arisings by 15% per £1m turnover in just 4 years. To go a step further, they’ve also achieved a massive milestone by donating 10,000,000 meals through their partnership with Fare Share.

 

Green Apple Awards:

BHID Group have been announced as a winner in the ‘Environmental Best Practice (Manufacturing) – Waste Management’ category. We will find out if they achieve gold, silver, or bronze status when we attend a glittering ceremony in November.

Sysco Group will also be announced as a winner in the ‘Environmental Best Practice (Retail & Wholesale) – Waste Management’ category at the same event.

 

Waste2Zero Awards:

Our EcoVend range of Reverse Vending Machines has been shortlisted in the ‘Best Waste Reduction Technology Award’, recognising the impact we are having to support Deposit Return Schemes across the globe.
